Explosions Rock Several Cities in Ukraine

Ukraine War bridge explosion

Russian army attacked with missiles in several cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Lviv, Ternop, Khmelnytsky and Zhytomyr. The attack in Kyiv was the first strike since June. The missile attacks were linked to retaliation from Russia after the explosion in the Crimea bridge that left three people dead and caused severe damage on the 21 kilometres long bridge that connects the Crimea peninsula with mainland Russia.

Dnipro Explosions

People in Kyiv rushed to the metro stations for shelter as the trains halt.

Ukraine’s President Zelensky says: “They are trying to destroy us and wipe us off the face of the earth”. He added that Russia used Iranian drones in the missile strikes on Kyiv. Some Ukrainian media outlets reported that President Zelensky’s office in Kiyv was likely destroyed. The Defence Ministry vows revenge for the early morning strikes on the cities.

Russian Prime Minister Medvedev said that a direct response to the terrorist attack of Ukraine on the Kerch bridge “can only be the direct destruction of terrorists”. Putin is holding now a meeting with security councils and top officials.

The media reported that at least 12 people are dead and 24 were injured after the missiles hit Kyiv.
