Thursday’s earnings reports: ANGO WBA CAG STZ LNN SMPL NEOG. Conagra Brands (CAG) is expected to report earnings per share of $0.66. Constellation Brands Inc (STZ) will report earnings before the market opens and analysts expect earnings of $2.9 per share. Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) also reports on Thursday with expectations of $1.13.

Friday, January 6

Friday is a busy day and investors will focus on the NFP report; the November reading beat the consensus as it came at 263k, and now the expectations are for 200k. The unemployment rate is expected unchanged at 3.7%.

The unemployment rate in Canada is expected slightly higher at 5.2% from 5.1% in November.
